Hi, I'm an '05 who needs help deciding what computer system to buy from Dartmouth. I brought my own Dell laptop to school last year, but it broke during Finals when I spilled some Diet Coke all over it accidentally and really stupidly.
So, now I'm looking to buy a new laptop directly from the college, and am debating between the Apple PowerBook G4 667 and the Dell Latitude C610. If *any* other student using either of these computers is reading this, could you please write in and tell me about your experiences with them? I'm particularly interested in how easy they were to carry around, how well they worked with Blitzmail and other Dartmouth applications like Ethernet, and how fast they were in general.
