How about a 2008's opinion - since almost no one actually visits this forum? I applied early (and accepted, duh), as I have always loved the place. I've visited fairly often as my dad's active in alumni stuff. Like any school, you have good and bad profs, but I have heard lectures from some of the good ones, and they are awesome. Rasias, for example gave a lecture about French theater in the 18th century. I went thinking I don't care at all about this, but left wanting more. If you like the outdoors, you'll like Dartmouth - period. Hanover is a decent little town, and then there's West Lebanon about 5 mins away, with all the wal-marts and stuff. If you've visited, you know the campus is amazing. Swarthmore? WTF - no one beats the green! Want more insider info - see this website: http://geocities.com/dartmouthquestions/ . I say ignore this forum and apply to your number 1 school (which should be Dartmouth!).
